Kay Yow was a great basketball coach for NC State and the 1988 women's Olympic team. After fighting with cancer for over 10 years, she passed away earlier today. She coached for the beginning of the season despite the re-emergence of her cancer and only stepped down 3 weeks ago. I can only name five women coaches or so and Kay Yow is one of them. She will be missed.
Read her story.
